A recent Twitter conversation between Gujarat Titans (GT) and their star batter Shubman Gill left fans restless, and it quickly became the talk of the town. Teasing that Gill might be leaving GT, the franchise wished him luck for his future and wrote: “It’s been a journey to remember. We wish you all the best for your next endeavour, @ShubmanGill! #AavaDe.”
Soon, Gill also responded to GT’s post with a heart emoji and a hug emoji, and the chat went viral in no time. Gill’s tweet led to the fans guessing his next move.

However, the winners of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, ended all the speculations. It appears that GT’s earlier tweet was just a prank, as they confirmed that their star opener isn’t going anywhere.
“Twitterverse, Gill will always be a part of our (heart emoji). PS: It’s not what you think, but we’re loving the theories. Keep it going!” the Titans clarified.

Notably, Gill, who began his IPL journey at Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), was one of the Gujarat Titans’ pre-auction draft picks. He went on to score 483 runs from 16 games at a strike rate of 132.33. The right-handed batter smashed four half-centuries, including his career-best T20 score of 96.
In fact, Gill’s performances at the top of the order were instrumental in helping Gujarat beat Rajasthan Royals in the final to clinch the IPL 2022 title. In the summit clash, Gill scored an unbeaten 45 off 43 deliveries to help the Titans chase down the 131-run target.
